Head Chef, Malcolm Peskett, has been creating wholesome food at The Star & Garter for the last seven years. He’s passionate about fresh, local food and carefully plans his menus around the seasons.
Much of the fish and seafood on the menu is bought directly from the fishermen at nearby Selsey, on a daily basis. Quality meats, including local game, are supplied by a trusted butcher. All ingredients are bought locally, wherever possible. Apples, figs and raspberries are hand-picked from the pub garden.
The freshness of the ingredients and Malcolm’s dedication to his art are what make The Star & Garter worthy of their excellent foodie reputation.
It’s just a short stroll upstairs from the dining room to one of our cosy 18th century bedrooms, where you can relax and enjoy the end to a perfect evening with a blissful nights’ sleep in the country.
